A BIT ABOUT CAROLINE

Hello! I’m Caroline and I LOVE dance and theatre! There is nothing better than creating magic for the stage, and I enjoy being apart of all of it. From teaching dance classes to the youngest students to ignite their passion for the arts, to guiding high schoolers as they figure out what part the arts might play in their future, to collaborating with writers and directors on how choreography can complete and enhance their vision. And of course, teaching community members choreography for a musical because no matter your age or experience, doing a show is just a good time.

I trained first at Ja’Duke Center for the Performing Arts in a wide variety of dance styles, as well as acting and voice. This set me up for success as I moved on to study at Goucher College, eventually earning a BA in Dance with a concentration in Education. While in college, I also spent a semester at Accademia dell’Arte in Arezzo Italy learning Tarantella, afro-jazz, Butoh, physical theatre, composition and more life lessons than I can count.

Since then I’ve worked as the director of a performing arts center, a program lead of a public middle school dance program, at private dance studios, as an administrative assistant, a nanny, as well as teaching at a private high school performing arts program. Oh and not to forget, a tour director for 45 teens on summer teen trips. But check out my resume for the fun specifics.

Most of all, I want to spread the joy and love the performing arts have given me. I want to bring audiences into different worlds on stage to find community, to engage in society and to have FUN. One scoop clap at a time.
